Privacy policy

Followly is a trading name of Stratum Automation Pty Ltd, ABN 45 697 263 844, Brisbane, Queensland. This policy is written in plain language on purpose. If anything here is unclear, ask on the call.

What we collect on this website

If you book a call, we collect the name, email address and phone number you enter, along with the time slot you choose and anything you type into the notes. That booking is stored in our own system and in the calendar of the team member who takes the call.

We collect basic analytics about page visits: the pages opened, the approximate location derived from your network address, the device and browser type, and the site or advertisement that sent you here. We use this to work out which pages do their job.

The pricing calculator on this site runs entirely in your browser. The number you type is not sent to us unless you go on to book a call.

Advertising tags

When advertising is running, this site loads a Meta pixel and a Google Ads conversion tag. Both are small scripts from those companies. They record that a browser visited a page or completed a booking, and they read and write cookies that let Meta and Google recognise the same browser across sites. They do not receive the contents of your Xero file or anything about your business finances.

You can turn most of this off. Meta ad settings are at facebook.com/adpreferences, Google ad settings are at myadcenter.google.com, and blocking third-party cookies in your browser stops the matching. Doing so does not change anything about the service or the price.

Data from advertising platforms

If you fill in a form inside Facebook, Instagram or Google rather than on this site, that platform passes us the details you submitted, usually a name, email address and phone number. We treat that the same way as a booking made here.

Your Xero file

We work inside your Xero file as an invited adviser. You control that access and can remove it at any time from inside Xero. We do not lodge anything with the ATO, and we are not the registered agent for the business.

Documents you send to the receipts and bills inbox are stored against your file in Xero, in the inbox that comes with it. We do not sell data, and we do not share a client file with anyone other than the people you name, such as your accountant.

How long we keep things

Booking and enquiry records are kept for two years so we can tell who we have spoken to. Client accounting records are kept for as long as we act for you, and then for the period Australian law requires records to be retained, which is generally five years. Analytics data is kept in aggregate and is not tied back to a person by us.

Access, correction and complaints

You can ask what we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected, or ask for it to be deleted where we are not required to keep it. We will answer within 30 days. If you are not satisfied with our answer, you can take a complaint to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
